“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus,”  2 Timothy 3:14–15.

Scripture clearly demonstrates that children, even in infancy, can sense the presence of the Holy Spirit and are called from birth for God’s purpose. Our calling as Christians is to train our children to know and follow Jesus, “the Way, the Truth and the Life.” We believe that our children are not just the church of the future but are God’s witnesses now. Thus, teach them His Word in age appropriate ways from infancy through elementary school using small group community building, fun lessons, worship, and modeling.

If you have children we invite you to bring them downstairs to our Kingdom Kids check-in stations. Our children’s ministry meets during Sunday morning and Wednesday night services.

Infant-Toddler Nursery

Babysitting is not the name of the game when you bring your young ones to the infant-toddler nursery. Our teachers and volunteers spend time praying over these youngest blessings and nurture them by speaking the Word of God over them while they cuddle, play, or sleep.

Preschool (2 & 3 year olds)

Get ready for fun! In our preschool group our little adventurers begin to grasp routines and schedules while learning that they belong to Jesus. Here we have play time in our exciting, multi-sensory play room with climbing blocks, slides, maze tables and more. Lessons are taught in a hands-on style incorporating object lessons, crafts, story-telling and free play.

Pre-K thru Kindergarten

And we’re off! Our youngsters travel from one fun filled activity to another having their lessons reinforced with a highly interactive program. Whether they are singing, sitting in circle time, creating in the craft room, or playing with their friends in class, our kids are taught God’s Word and how to put it into action. Our children leave knowing that they belong to Jesus and that He is their best friend.

Elementary  (1st thru 4th Grade)

We are family! As our children approach this age group they begin to learn how they relate to the Body of Christ and how they are a part of one another in the community of believers. Beginning in homerooms they start building friendships with their teachers and classmates. Transitioning into the kid’s sanctuary, our youngsters sing, laugh, and learn in a large group teaching. Finally they return to their homeroom for small group discussion of the lessons while further deepening their relationship with Jesus and one another as they learn how to spread the message of the Kingdom through word and deed.

AMPed (5th and 6th Grade)

It’s time to get AMPed! Geared especially for 5th and 6th graders, our motto is “Live God Loud,” and that’s exactly what we do! Through culturally-relevant, attention-grabbing lessons, and small group discussions, we deliver biblical principles to live by and tackle the tough questions about God, friendships, and who we are in Christ.

ACCESS Special Needs Ministry

Jesus loves you and so do we! Every child was created special and with great purpose. On Sunday mornings in ACCESS children with disabilities are given the unique attention they need to in order to learn about God’s Word and His love. Our goal is to help them find their place in the family of God and know how special and valuable they are. We welcome you to call the children’s ministry office, 203.877.5464 x15, for an intake appointment, so we can learn how to best serve your family’s needs.

Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents make a commitment before the Lord to submit their child to God’s will and to raise that child according to His Word and His ways. Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly manner until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways.
